Advertising

We plan to support the site with display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads appear, they will be labeled "Advertisement," kept visually separate from our content, and never placed inside safety warnings, decision trees or calculators. Advertisers don't choose or review what we write, and seeing an ad on a page is not a recommendation.

If we add affiliate links

We may one day link to products through affiliate programs, which pay a commission if you buy after clicking. If we do, pages with affiliate links will say so near the top, before the first link. Commissions won't change which products we cover or how — see our review methodology.

Contractor referrals

We don't currently refer readers to specific contractors or receive referral fees. If that changes, we'll disclose the relationship on every page where it applies.
